Uberti’s Winchester 1873 Rifle Reproductions
The Colt Peacemaker is often referred to as the “revolver that won the West.” The Winchester 1873 rifle, on the other hand, is known as the “rifle that won the West.” It is this classic Old West rifle that Uberti reproduced in different variations.
Uberti gunsmiths have faithfully reproduced the Winchester 1873 rifle and came up with 7 distinctive models, including the Uberti 1873 Trapper (shown) and the Uberti 1873 Sporting Rifle.

When the 1873 Rifle was first made available, it came chambered in the new and powerful .44-.40 cartridge, making it the most authentic choice. 40 grains of black powder was used to propel the .44 caliber bullet. The 1873 Rifle reached even greater success when Colt manufactured its Peacemaker in the same .44 caliber. If the gunslinger is carrying both a six-shooter and a lever-action rifle, he would then need only one cartridge belt for them.
Uberti 1873 Rifle and Carbine models are available in the time-honored 45 Colt, and the powerful 44-40, .44 Magnum, and .357 Magnum. Barrel lengths in all models range from 16.125 to 24.25 inches.
Other outstanding features of this classic Rifle reproduction include:
- Color cased steel receiver
- Very smooth action
- High quality finish and workmanship
- Easy single loading
- High capacity easy loading magazine
- Rapid repeat shots
- Dependable controlled feed that will work in any orientation
- Excellent iron sights for accurate target acquisition

I am interested in buying a used lever action rifle. Don’t care about cosmetics but want it in good shooting shape.
